Paddle Instruction Day
Join us for an all day paddle instruction day with UMATR! We will be starting the day with exclusively flatwater and ending the day with some swiftwater sections. Come broaden your paddling skills with a full day of canoe instruction and fun!

About The Event
Join us for a full day of canoe paddle instruction where we welcome all abilities to join us to get out on the river! The first half of the day we will be in flatwater and learn basic canoe strokes, maneuvering and reading the river, and more! In the afternoon, we will shift into running some swiftwater sections. Learn how to navigate class I and II rapids while being taught with UMATR staff and our great river guides. Welcome to all ability levels - come learn canoe for the first time, or expand upon your skills! Canoes available for participants if needed.
Although this is a canoe focused instruction - we welcome kayakers! Just be aware that this is a canoe focused instruction and our instructors will be participating in canoes.
