Swiftwater Paddle Instruction and Tour

This event will be a continuation of our earlier Paddle Instruction and Tour. We welcome you to continue to build upon your previous paddling knowledge, and join us for a Class I/II instruction tour. We will be doing a small section of rapids during this instruction tour, and we encourage you to join us to learn how to safely navigate these waters. Our experienced UMATR Committee paddlers will guide you as we move down a section of our Missisquoi River TBD, with tips and tricks of how to navigate more challenging waters as well as give you the opportunity to get to know other paddlers within our community.  If needed, we have canoes available for the event. This paddle instruction is focused on canoe paddling, though we encourage skilled kayakers to join us. Meet-up location will be shared as we get closer to the event date. Register today to be added to the event list and to receive updates! This class is not for first time canoe paddlers. If you are a beginner paddler, and had attended our earlier summer Flatwater Paddle Instruction and Tour on 6/17, you are welcomed to sign-up. If you have never paddled a canoe before, we encourage you to join us at a different 2023 paddling event, such as our Paddle & Picnic Event on September 30th and attend our Swiftwater Paddle Instruction and Tour next year in 2024.
