The Upper Missisquoi and Trout Rivers provide us with great opportunities to enjoy our landscape and our communities all year long! Check out the events that our Wild & Scenic Committee will be hosting along our rivers this year.
Summer Days on the River

This summer, youths (ages 9-15) can enjoy 

a free guided day trip along our beautiful

Wild & Scenic Rivers - several dates and options available.

 

Reservations required; to sign up, click on your trip date and location of choice; please contact us with questions.

Drop off at the put-in (see each trip for details) between 8 & 8:30am; pick-up at the take-out at 3pm.

Limit of 6 participants per trip; hand sanitizer and masks will be provided; each participant will be socially distant in their own kayak (members of the same household may share a canoe if preferred). 

Bagged lunch will be provided.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

A separate registration is required for each participant.

Limit of 2 trips per participant

(may request to be wait-listed for additional trips).

  • Flatwater Paddle Instruction and Tour

    Join us for our first Paddle Instruction and Tour of the year! This is a guided paddle along the Missisquoi River aimed to teach new paddler's tips and tricks as well as refresh more experienced paddlers!

  • Swiftwater Paddle Instruction and Tour

    Join UMATR for our second guided instruction tour of our rivers! This event is building off of our knowledge from our previous summer instruction tour. Come sharpen your skills, meet other paddlers, and experience a section of river you may have never been to!

  • Swimming Hole Clean-Up

    Riverwalk Park
    Join us as we help protect the places we love and have enjoyed all summer! We will be meeting at Riverwalk Park - and be assigned a swimming hole to clean and supplies provided by us. Afterwards enjoy snacks and good company!
